文法解説

glen: (スコットランドやアイルランドの) 峡谷

hillsideはスコットランドに対比してイングランドの丘陵地帯とするのが良いかと思います．

無生物主語なので，目的語を主語にして訳すのが良いでしょう．

Keep the home fires burning:

直訳すると「家の炎を燃やし続ける」ですが，暖炉や灯りの意でしょう．転じて現在では「留守番をする」意味の慣用句として用いられるようです．

There's a silver lining through the dark clouds shining:

直訳すると後ろの"Turn the dark cloud ~"の意味が通らないので，「暗く立ち込めた雲のような気分」の意ととらえるのが良いでしょう．家の灯りを絶やさずにいることで，暗い気持ちも晴れてくるだろうという大意でしょう．
